Go Somewhere. Be a Voice. Do Something.

Go. Be. Do. A Buckner Missions Conference.
It’s a place to learn. It’s a time to talk. It’s a gathering of hearts. It’s a meeting to plan. It’s a discovery of direction. It can be the start of something wonderful.

There are 145 million orphans around the globe. Children without a voice, children who need love. There are children in crisis, perhaps next door to you, who need safety, who need care. There are families that need healing, families that need strength.

Buckner International provides an array of opportunities designed to respond to the needs of children and families and collaborates with others to help children. There are opportunities to go somewhere to help these children, to be an advocate for them and to do something to feed, care or clothe them. This is your chance to find out how to act now.

Workshops: Impact through Family, Community, Empowerment and Aid

Buckner works in four distinct areas designed to impact the lives of children and families, and we’ve designed our conference sessions around these four impact areas.

Family Programs have a permanent impact on the lives of at-risk children by placing children in family environments. Family capabilities include adoption, foster care, residential care and transitional services.
Community programs provide a preventative impact on the lives of children by encouraging families to stay together. Community capabilities include community enrichment programs such as mentoring and after-school programs.

Empowerment programs have a significant impact on the lives of at-risk children and their families by promoting self-sufficiency. Empowerment capabilities include educational services and economic development initiatives.

Aid, support and health programs are typically a one-time or a short-interval of services intended to provide at-risk children with some humanitarian aid need or some shorter-term interaction. Aid, support and health capabilities include Shoes for Orphan Souls, humanitarian aid, mission trips and medical and dental services.
