Become a “forever family” through adoption or help kids through a difficult time as a foster parent.

Foster care and adoption services are a hallmark of how Buckner helps create families and Buckner has combined Buckner Foster Care and Buckner Adoption and Maternity Services into one group that will offer services to families who want to provide short-term or forever homes to children.

Our foster care program provides a unique opportunity for a family to share their home with a child age birth through 17 who is temporarily in need of a home because of a family crisis such as abuse or neglect. Qualifying families that provide foster care through Buckner have shown a commitment to providing temporary care for children in need; an ability to complete all Buckner and state-mandated preparation to provide foster care, be members of a Christian church and dedicated to the Buckner philosophy that foster care is not a lifetime of commitment to a child; rather, it is a commitment to be meaningful in a child’s lifetime.

We also offer several adoption services designed to fit families’ needs to grow in love. Since 1884, Buckner Adoption and Maternity Services has placed thousands of children in loving Christian families. We are a Christ-centered ministry that believes adoption is a profound way to change a child's life forever. Our staff has a commitment to personal relationships and emotional support for all clients we serve. We offer many different adoption programs to fit your specific needs domestic infant, foster-to-adopt, Child Protective Services (CPS) adoption, and international adoption. For Texas families, the Buckner domestic program can provide domestic infant and Child Protective Services (CPS) adoption services. The domestic program also provides birthmothers with experienced counseling and an open adoption program. Also for Texas families, Buckner works with its communities throughout Texas to provide support services to foster parents to help promote a strong, nurturing family environment for foster children. Buckner foster families can participate in a foster-to-adopt program. For families in all 50 states, Buckner Adoption and Maternity Services offers families the opportunity to adopt internationally, bringing the world home and bringing home to the world.
