Buckner Featured at the Texas Rangers Game Sept. 24

DALLAS - Fans of Buckner International and of the Texas Rangers cheered on the American League West division champions Saturday for the afternoon game against the Seattle Mariners, broadcasted nationally on FOX Sports.

Buckner was featured in the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation/FOX Sports Southwest/TXA 21 “Community Corner.” Four hundred and eighty tickets in the Buckner block were sold and 250 children from Buckner Dallas foster care and community programs attended the game.

Former Rangers catcher and Senior Executive Vice President of the Texas Rangers Foundation Jim Sundberg presented a check for $1,500, which included proceeds from the ticket sales and additional funding for Buckner’s Dallas programs. Buckner International President Albert Reyes; CEO Ken Hall; and Buckner Foundation President David Slover accepted the donation during an on-field pre-game presentation.

“We’re so grateful to the Rangers and their leadership for making this happen,” said Scott Collins, vice president of communications. “It was a great day for Buckner and a lot of fun for the boys and girls we serve.”
