City of Houston proclaims May 9 ‘Buckner International Day’

During its meeting May 9, the City Council of the City of Houston and Mayor Sylvester Turner (center, in gray suit) proclaimed the day “Buckner International Day” and presented Buckner President/CEO Albert L. Reyes (center, in black suit) with a city proclamation honoring the organization. The proclamation recognized Buckner for its contributions to the city that include programs such as the Buckner Family Hope Center at Aldine, Buckner Family Pathways, Buckner Parkway Place, Buckner Hospice and Buckner Foster Care. Joining Reyes in receiving the proclamation were several Buckner staff representing a cross section of its Houston ministries.
