IN THE MEDIA: Children receive both presents and memories at the Buckner Children's Village toy run

Bikers, 4-wheelers, hot rods and Corvettes brought Christmas gifts and excitement to nearly 100 boys and girls on Saturday, Dec. 5, at Buckner Children’s Village in Beaumont, Texas.

Silsbee resident Dwaine Johnston started what has now become the 25th Annual Buckner Toy Run, and continues to be a highlight of the year for many of the children served by Buckner.

“The children eagerly await this event each year,” Buckner Administrator Laura May said. “They will gather on the lawn early with anticipation as Santa Claus arrives with the Beaumont Fire Department and others who bring Christmas gifts and lots of fun with them.”
