Race car driver, 13, karts foster kids to next level

Cole Glasson and Dallas Karting Complex treated North Texas Buckner foster kids to the ride of their lives in July on go karts that reach top speeds of 35 miles per hour.Cole is a 13-year-old aspiring NASCAR driver with more than 100 wins under his belt. He gives back to the community by raising money for charities through Racers United, an organization he and his dad, Tim, started.“I have been very blessed to do what I do throughout the year,” he said. “I get to race 400-horsepower cars at the age of 13. I know many kids have gone through tough times and never have the opportunity to experience some of the things I have, so any time I can give back, I try to.”
