Summer staff will receive a stipend, room and board and participate in a structured discipleship program designed to help them grow in their relationship with Christ. They will also undergo training to become certified lifeguards, ropes course and archery facilitators.

OK! So you want to know what it’s like to work at our camp. Here’s the quick rundown:

Each summer staff member will work two meals per day on a rotating basis with other staff members. When you are on breakfast duty, you will have to rise early (sunrises are so beautiful here) as most campers eat breakfast around 7:30-8:00 in the morning. Your duties during the day will vary depending on your specialty area, but this time will include such things as lifeguarding, helping out on the ropes course and zip line, archery, working in the gift shop, keeping the camp grounds clean, and/or participate in evening programming.

At the end of the day, we will ask that you are in your room and your lights are out at the proper time so you will be rested for the upcoming day. Trust me…getting enough rest is important in order to be an effective servant of God! As soon as a group leaves, all summer staff members will participate in cleaning the rooms in preparation for the next incoming group ready to have their life changed! Once the cleaning is finished and approved by a supervisor, you will be off duty in addition to your scheduled time off. During your time off, feel free to go to Whataburger, catch a movie, visit your friends and families and so on! Go and have fun!

You time with God is so important to us! We want to make sure that your personal devotion time will be a part of your daily schedule. At least 30 minutes will be allotted for you in your schedule to spend time with God. You may spend that time in prayer, reading the Word, journaling or just enjoying the time alone with God. Whatever it looks like for you, we simply want your relationship with Christ to be the first thing you seek every day. As part of our discipleship program, times for Bible study, prayer, accountability and recap session will be put into your weekly schedule. Please be sure to check out our FAQ page to learn more.
