When we joined with Buckner in May 2018 to announce the Shining Hope Dallas campaign, we gathered with dozens of you on a vacant, three-acre lot at the corner of Lombardy and Geraldine to ask you to join us in building a Buckner Family Hope Center.
On that warm, sunny day under a few pecan trees, we all dreamed together of a place that would serve the Bachman Lake community, a place where children and their families would find acceptance, help and hope. A place where they would discover family strength and empowerment. A place that told a marginalized community it has value.
Now, after just two years, the Shining Hope Dallas campaign has been a success, and the new 22,000-sq.-ft., $10.5 million Buckner Family Hope Center building is a shining reality in the heart of the Bachman Lake area.
Thank you for praying and dreaming with us during the campaign, Thank you for your gifts and support that made it a success and will change the direction of a community. Now, it’s time to shine hope on the Bachman community!
