Buckner International is pouring aid into the Bachman Lake area literally by the ton in an effort to help low income families who are facing the possibility of a third week of displacement from their homes as a result of gas leaks.

Buckner serves the affected area through its Buckner Family Hope Center has created a relief distribution center at Foster Elementary, offering 2,000 pieces of clothing, 1,300 diapers, 200 pairs of shoes donated through Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®, 510 hygiene packs and more than six tons of food.

Additionally, Buckner is offering free laundry service for the community through a partnership with Dallas-based Woman's Missionary Union of Texas, which has a mobile laundry unit stationed at The Village Church, where the Family Hope Center offices are located.

Families are flowing regularly through the distribution center as well as the mobile laundry unit. Volunteers are facilitating both efforts throughout the day.
