The DonorBridge website is experiencing a high volume of traffic today, and many people are having trouble getting through to donate. DonorBridge has announced that the deadline for giving is extended to MIDNIGHT tonight to ensure that donors' gifts will be entered in time to qualify for matching funds!

(Update) 7:00 p.m. -- We have currently received $114,550 via the DonorBridgeTX.org website and from call-in donations to Buckner Foundation. DonorBridge is an online resource that links nonprofit organizations with donors and supporters, helping donors make informed decisions about their charitable giving. DonorBridge is run by Communities Foundation of Texas, with support of The Dallas Foundation and Center for Nonprofit Management.
TODAY ONLY – SEPTEMBER 15, 2011 from 7 AM to MIDNIGHT – all gifts made to Buckner International through the DonorBridge website will receive matching funds. More than $500,000 has been secured for matching gifts and that amount is still growing.
In addition to the matching funds, individual awards of $10,000 each will be given to charities in the following categories:
• Largest cumulative donation amount
• Most individual donations received
• 1,929th donation
• 2,011th donation

Your gift through Donorbridge on September 15th will be designated for Buckner. Specific program or location designations are not available on the Donorbridge site, however, we follow-up with each donor who gives on that day and will give you the opportunity to designate your gift for the program or location of your choice. As you know Buckner programs span across Texas and in 10 countries around the world.
Buckner programs include: Family Ministry, Foster Care, Domestic and International Adoption, Community Programs, Humanitarian Aid, Senior Care and Assistance and Where Needed Most.
Our Texas locations include Dallas/Fort Worth, Amarillo, Beaumont, Conroe, Houston, Longview, Lubbock, Lufkin, Rio Grande Valley and San Angelo. Buckner also serves children internationally in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Mexico, Egypt and Russia.
