Valero donates $10,000 to Buckner children

BEAUMONT, Texas — Valero Energy Corporation donated $10,000 to Buckner Children and Family Services in Southeast Texas on Oct. 15.
“It is part of Valero’s culture to give back to the communities in which our facilities are located,” said Barbara Phillips, public affairs manager at the Valero Port Arthur refinery.

Dreaming of Shoes

Earlier this year, Buckner International partnered with An Orphan’s Bright Star to send 121 Shoes for Orphan Souls to children and teens in the Green Forest Internat orphanage in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The children received them as Easter presents.

Buckner Family Place in Midland Launching Expansion Plan

(MIDLAND, Texas) – Officials with Buckner Family Place in Midland announced Oct. 6 a $600,000 expansion of the facility located at 421 W. Pecan.
The expansion increases the number of apartment units available to single-parent families from the current eight to 12 with construction of four new apartments.
