Friday photo: Pitter-patter of little feet fill Amarillo home after adoption

The pitter-patter of little feet fills the home of Chris and Becky McCallops. And they couldn’t be happier.

On June 7 in Amarillo, the couple adopted Elijah, 2, and 18-month-old Judah, siblings who have been in the McCallops home since April through foster care. The boys were placed into the McCallops’ home days after the couple was licensed as foster parents.

“Chris and Becky went from having no children to two little ones in a very short amount of time,” said Melanie Rice, foster care case manager and home developer for Buckner in Amarillo. “They have done an exceptional job raising the boys and learning the foster care system at one time. Through Christ’s grace and love, Becky and Chris were able to change the course of the boys’ lives and now have a precious family to call their own.”

Congratulations, McCallops! May God continue to bless you in the days and years ahead!
