Buckner Foster Care and Adoption in the Rio Grande Valley celebrates first adoption

Buckner Foster Care and Adoption is celebrating National Adoption Month in a way they never have before – in the very first adoption through Buckner in the Rio Grande Valley.

Aaron and Iris Saenz have been with Buckner for two years waiting to be matched with a sibling set to adopt, and today, they have adopted four siblings through the Waiting Texas Children program.

After over 10 years of marriage, Aaron and Iris are thankful to have their forever family.

“I’m thankful for the fact that we get to hold their hands and pick them up when they fall down and even get to just cry with them when they might need to do that,” Iris said.

“It’s a family now,” Aaron added. “It’s been a beautiful thing to watch … we have bonded and I’m just so thankful for the opportunity to raise potential world changers and invest into these little lives.”

Congratulations to the entire Saenz family!
