What makes a Buckner mission trip, like Project Go, different from other organizations? People like Mama Rose, who has worked for Buckner for eight years in her home country of Kenya to help children and families out of poverty.

Rose Wasike is on the ground every day working with orphans and fragile families to break the cycle of poverty, with a burdened heart to help the helpless.

“I hate poverty and I hate to see a child suffer, especially an orphan child,” said Rose, a recent graduate of Baylor University’s Global Mission Leadership program. “I grew up very poor. My parents are very poor. Growing up, I saw my parents struggle to help me get an education. I am motivated by my past to help children get out of poverty.”

As you work alongside Buckner staff like Mama Rose, you can rest assured your work will continue to have immediate – and eternal – impact. Buckner is committed to having local leadership serving their own communities in their own countries, continuing God’s work after you leave.

If you’re searching for a unique, transformative summer experience abroad, come join us with Project Go in one of five exciting countries. Deadlines are approaching soon and scholarships are available to those who qualify!
