Lubbock
Buckner has been dedicated to providing
services that help strengthen at-risk
children and families in Lubbock since
1958. A wide variety of services are offered
to children, families and single mothers
with a goal of building the necessary skills
and knowledge they need to succeed in life.
Programs
Buckner Children's Home
Buckner Children's Home provides foster group care
for children in six foster homes on campus. Foster
families live in Buckner-owned cottages, providing a
consistent home environment for children who are in
the state's custody and have been neglected,
abandoned or abused.
Foster Care and Adoption
Buckner provides families in the Lubbock community
and surrounding areas with training and resources
needed to become a family to a child living in the
state's custody or to a child available for adoption in
the United States or internationally. For more
information on ways you can be a family, call
806-795-7151. Learn more at www.beafamily.org.
My Father's House Lubbock
Many single mothers find themselves in a cycle that leads to hopelessness and long-term dependence on public assistance. Buckner My Father's House seeks to end this cycle by facilitating education and by sharing the peace and stability that comes from faith in Christ.
My Father's House is an ecumenical ministry helping women obtain an education, change their lives towards God and to become self sufficient. We have two areas of ministry for women. The first is our classes and the second our residential services. By providing these two ministries, we can help women achieve goals that will ensure their ability to provide for themselves and their children.

Child Development Center
The Mary Louise Child Development Center at My Father's House is a fully licensed Christian child care center which provides affordable daycare focused on teaching children about God's love and grace through Jesus Christ. While daycare services are open to families living in the greater Lubbock community, residents at My Father's House can also utilize these services as they attend class and focus on vocational training. After-Care Program
Our After-Care program helps former foster children transition from the state's care into self-sufficient adulthood. Buckner has been helping children for more than 10 years through this program. For information, contact cthomas@buckner.org.
