(DALLAS) — Representatives from five Christian radio stations nationwide ministered to orphans in Peru March 17-25 through Buckner International’s Shoes for Orphan Souls. The mission team served in eight orphanages in Lima and Cusco, Peru, sharing the Gospel and distributing shoes collected through individual and radio-sponsored shoe drives throughout the country.
Each station KVTT in Dallas, Texas, WFRN in Elkhart, Ind., WMCU in Pompano Beach, Fla., KSBJ in Houston, Texas and WBFJ in Winston-Salem, North Carolina will host a Shoes for Orphan Souls shoe drive in their community later this year to benefit some of the world’s most overlooked and underprivileged children.
“There is nothing else like seeing the children and seeing their homes and the difference it makes when we bring them shoes and share the Gospel,” said Doug Moore of WFRN. “Our listeners are making an eternal impact.
