OPPORTUNITIES IN TEXAS

Amarillo: Do you have a vehicle and some spare time during the week? Volunteers are needed to transport young adults to appointments, meetings, school or work. (See all Amarillo opportunities)

Beaumont: Spread Christmas joy with the perfectly wrapped gift. More than 100 gifts need to be wrapped for clients in Buckner programs in Southeast Texas. (See all Beaumont opportunities)

Conroe: Are you creative and crafty? We need a scrapbook group to help our children and families create life books filled with memories. (See all Conroe opportunities)

Dallas: Treat a foster family to a holiday feast! Take a family out to dinner or cook a special meal just for them and create long-lasting Christmas memories for one of our foster families. (See all Dallas opportunities)

Houston: Sponsor one of our Family Place families and help them have a memorable Christmas. Spread the joy of the season by providing gifts and/or a holiday feast. (See all Houston opportunities)

Longview: Do you have the knack for organization? Help organize and sort the Exchange Store at the Family Hope Center or assist clients with their requests. (See all Longview opportunities)

Lubbock: My Father’s House Lubbock is in need of volunteers to provide childcare for the monthly resident meetings. (See all Lubbock opportunities)

Lufkin: Assist the Lufkin Family Place staff in hosting a Christmas party for residents and their children. Help is needed for set up, serving food, interacting with families, and tear down. (See all Lufkin opportunities)

Midland: We are looking for people who have a knack for organization to help organize the closet of donated items for our single-parent families. (See all Midland opportunities)

Mission: Share the Christmas spirit and host a Christmas party for foster children in the Rio Grande Valley. Provide food, entertainment, and gifts for the foster children and foster families. (See all Mission opportunities)

We need churches, schools, businesses and organizations to host shoe drives to collect shoes for Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®, our largest humanitarian aid project. Since 1999, more than 2.5 million pairs of shoes have been distributed to orphans and vulnerable children in more than 76 countries through Shoes for Orphan Souls.
