In partnership with WFAA
and Road to a Better Community, we’re excited to share these powerful stories of life transformation, hope and empowerment.
Patty Buie of Rockwall, Texas, is no stranger to the challenges of being a single parent. But she and her young son knew they had enough room in their hearts and home to take care of others. With Buckner’s support and encouragement, Patty and her son became a foster family
for children in need of a safe and loving place to call home.
Jozlyn moved to the Wynnewood community in south Dallas with her mother at the age of 2. When she began visiting the Buckner Family Hope Center
at Wynnewood, Jozlyn received help for more than just her physical needs — she was given the confidence she needed to rise above her circumstances and have hope for the future.
Natasha spent much of her childhood in a Russian orphanage, where she shared everything with other children—she didn’t have a single possession to call her own. But for Natasha, hope arrived in the form of a pair of boots delivered by a team of volunteers from Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®
