Annual back-to-school bash in Bachman Lake area

Buckner Family Hope Center™ hosts backpack distribution

This weekend, 131 families of the Buckner Family Hope Center™ at Bachman Lake received just about everything they needed to start the school year with confidence. About 25% of parents in the U.S. are expecting to spend more than $500 on back-to-school supplies this year. Supporting families with the financial burden of heading back to school allows them to focus on other essentials and provide stability.

Families in attendance were primarily clients of the Family Hope Center. They are enrolled in classes such as Jobs for Life, ESL or involved in family coaching.

To serve the many families, 73 volunteers served a culmination of over 180 hours. Park Cities Baptist Church en Español volunteers donated and cooked lunch for the families in attendance.
