Aramark helps build strong families
More and more, businesses are seeing the value in incorporating giving and volunteer opportunities into their employee programs. There are so many unique ways to align with a nonprofit that fits their corporate culture and passions, and in January we’re highlighting a few of the companies that collaborate with Buckner in different, yet amazing ways to impact positive change in our communities.
Meet Aramark: Their passion to inspire communities to become healthier is impacting the families of Buckner Family Hope Center at Wynnewood in Dallas in big ways.
Since 2016, Aramark has collaborated with Buckner on its Aramark Building Community (ABC) Day. More than 100 company volunteers from Dallas and 20 volunteers from the Tyler/Longview area give their time to serve on a designated day in September each year.
For ABC Day, Aramark provides support to Buckner in many different areas – offering plenty of options for employees to get involved. From construction projects and helping with Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls® to teaching and providing curriculum and sponsoring Christmas wish lists, the type of volunteering is completely up to each employee.
Furthering Aramark’s engagement and aligning with their passion of health and wellness, Buckner qualified for their ongoing grant, Feed Your Potential, in 2017. Through this, Aramark provides chefs and dietitians to help educate our families on ways to live healthier lifestyles. Aramark is partnered with American Heart Association and seeks to empower communities to be healthier, so our collaboration works perfectly around their love of health and wellness.
Aramark stepped outside of their local community and is aligning their mission with ours to provide life-changing knowledge and support to Dallas and beyond. How could your organization use your know-how and passions to impact vulnerable families?
