Buckner continues to serve families in Houston during the pandemic

The threat of COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the state of Texas and the Houston communities. Shawna Roy, senior executive director of Buckner Children and Family Services in Southeast Texas, shares how Buckner is continuing to offer virtual programs and services to families Buckner serves in the Houston area.

"Thank you for your continued support," she said. "I know everything looks different and although we have to provide our services virtually, I wanted you to know we are very much in a business as usual format. Who we serve, our mission, the way we show love to people, and give and support our community is the same thing we're doing it now. And we can only continue to do that with your support."

During the pandemic, Buckner in Houston is supporting families through virtual family coaching and counseling, providing gift cards, food and supplies to families in need and offering virtual children programming.
