Last week, the Woman’s Missionary Union of Texas mobile laundry unit served the families involved with the Buckner Family Hope Center at Bachman Lake in Dallas.

“We often take it for granted that your able to wash your clothes when you get ready to do that,” said Tamiko Jones, executive director/treasurer of WMU of Texas. “So with Suds of Love, or affectionately called Bubbles, we’re excited to be here to give families the opportunity to wash their clothes and do laundry. This is an exciting time to be the hands and feet of Jesus.”

The Suds of Love laundry truck allows the families Buckner serves the opportunity to wash clothes free of cost and also provide a safe environment for their children to play while doing laundry.

“We provide services for the whole community,” said Marcela Dominguez, youth and children specialist for Buckner Family Hope Center. “Not just mom, not just dad, but children as well because we believe that families that come together as a whole that strengthens them and that elevates them.”
