Research has shown time and again that education changes lives. It’s one of the keys for families trying to pull themselves out of poverty. School opens doors for individuals to attain better employment, allowing them to better support their families.

Without your help through Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®, 5,000 Guatemalan children won’t be able to unlock that door. 

Many Guatemalan schools require students to wear shoes to class, but the families Buckner serves often can’t afford them. If these students don’t receive footwear from Shoes for Orphan Souls, they won’t be able to attend school this year. 

Here’s how you can donate shoes to help a child go to school by April 3:

• Give to Shoes for Orphan Souls online by clicking here. One hundred percent of each donation will be used to purchase shoes for children in need, keeping them healthy and ensuring they can go to school.
• Host a shoe drive in your community. Shoe drives can take place at any time of the year, in any location. No matter where you live or what you do, you can help make a difference in the life of a child by hosting a shoe drive at your school, church, office or club.
• Donate shoes. When you donate new shoes through Buckner, they will be received by one of the world’s most vulnerable children. You can mail new shoes to:
