He is the re-creator!

A devotion on God's mercy

Yes, God is not only the creator, but also the re-creator! Genesis 1 is a well-known chapter about God’s creation. He created everything before he created man.

Did Adam’s self will get him out of the Garden of Eden? Absolutely. God did not fail, but man failed God. He knew how weak his own creation was. Adam did not seek God’s advice and strength during temptations, instead yielded to the serpent’s voice.

God attempted multiple times to recreate a better lifestyle for humanity. Adam never realized what God’s plans were in his life.

Noah shared with everyone about the flood and people would not hear his voice. God gave them a chance before the flood destroyed what he created only to re-create humanity again.

Humanity failed God again, but he brought Jesus into this world to show true love and sacrifice again. He had to show us how salvation is the only way to go to heaven.

God is merciful and Scripture shows us many times he has been and is forgiving. We are given a chance to change our own ways and follow his ways.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” - 1 John 1:9

He also renews our life from situations where we have failed. Don’t we get out of difficult situations in our lives? That’s God’s intervention and he recreates a better and newer scenario in our lives. His mercies are new every morning!

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17

If God did not give us a second chance, we would be in the list of the fallen.

"The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness." - Exodus 34:6

Micah 7:18 reminds us, "Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance?”

The Bible bears witness to a God who forgives us. Moses, who murdered a man; Jonah, who fled from God's command; David, who committed adultery and had a man murdered; Rahab, who was a prostitute in Jericho; and Peter, who denied even knowing Jesus are some examples of God’s great forgiveness.

Let’s remember that time is at hand. Take advantage of TODAY and make our lives right with God. A third chance may not be available!
