Help Guatemalan children go to school

Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls® urgently needs shoes for older Guatemalan children otherwise they will not be able to go to school.

In some Guatemalan schools, students are required to wear shoes. Because of growth spurts and hard usage, the children Buckner serves grow out of their footwear within a year, leaving vulnerable families to rely on the ministry for new shoes or else their children will not be able to go to school.

Shoes for Orphan Souls is attempting to collect 5,000 athletic shoes for boys and girls sizes 1-5 and men sizes 7-8 by April 3.

Help a child go to school:

  • Give to Shoes for Orphan Souls online by clicking here. One hundred percent of each donation will be used to purchase shoes for children in need, keeping them healthy and ensuring they can go to school.
  • Host a shoe drive in your community. Shoe drives can take place at any time of the year, in any location. No matter where you live or what you do, you can help make a difference in the life of a child by hosting a shoe drive at your school, church, office or club.
  • Donate shoes. When you donate new shoes through Buckner, they will be received by one of the world’s most vulnerable children. You can mail new shoes to:
                  Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls
                  5405 Shoe Dr.
                  Mesquite, TX 75149
  • Pray for God to provide the shoes needed to fulfill the shipment, and pray specifically for the children who will receive the shoes.
