Reyes Receives Latino Leaders ‘Maestro Award for Community Service’

DALLAS – Buckner President and CEO Dr. Albert L. Reyes received the prestigious Maestro Award for Community Service from Latino Leaders magazine at the Hilton Hotel in Dallas on Thursday night, Oct. 25.

Reyes was one of five award recipients of the evening, which included a welcome from Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and Latino Leaders Publishers Jorge and Raul Ferraez, as well as a presentation from the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

“It is a great honor to receive this award,” said Reyes, the sixth president and first non-Anglo leader of Buckner International, a global Christian ministry serving more than 450,000 people each year in the United States and 18 countries around the world. “Latino Leaders recognizes some of the greatest leaders in our country and I am honored to be included in their company.”

The Latino Leaders Maestro Awards highlight the strides and efforts made by Latinos in the areas of professional achievement, entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation in key Latino community cities across the country such as Chicago, San Antonio, San Francisco and Dallas.
