Satisfaction guaranteed

A devotion about finding satisfaction in Jesus

Satisfaction guaranteed: These two words are used very loosely today. We have companies selling food that have a guarantee of satisfaction. But what does it mean to be truly satisfied?

Think about the last meal you had, how well did that satisfy you? Were you hungry again? What about water? How long have you gone without a drink today? Science has actually proven that a human body cannot go without water for more than three days.

There's only one way to be truly satisified

We are naturally inclined to not be satisfied.

We live a world where we have never truly been satisfied. Even when it comes to jobs or work that has been done for us. There is always something bigger and better to go after.

But Jesus says if you drink of the water he gives you, you will not thirst again. In this world there is no real satisfaction. But with God, satisfaction is guaranteed!

Where do you find your satisfaction?

Are we trying to find satisfaction in a world that will never satisfy us? Will we choose to drink from the cup of Jesus to receive the satisfaction that is guaranteed?

Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” – John 4:13-14
