Lufkin Boy Scout Elie Free is helping single-parent families through Buckner Family Pathways on the way to earning his Eagle Scout certification. 

He recently donated 16 computers to the ministry, which will further empower single moms as they pursue their educational goals. The ladies, many of whom do not own computers, can use them to study and research. They will keep the computers after they have completed the program. 

"Usually we have to go after funding sources and opportunities for our residents but to have them come to us for this opportunity was just amazing," said Marisa Phillips, Executive Director Buckner in Lufkin. "This will help so many of the single mothers that we help out."
