Self-reflection and rest are intentional moments in time set aside to slow down the daily hustle and bustle and can help you process and understand what has been going on in your life.

As we approach mid-year, have you reflected on how you are feeling?

How are you resting?

We can all relate with how difficult and overwhelming this past year has been and as we begin to enter this new normal, we may be struggling with the transition.

I encourage you to rest. Step away and begin to prayerfully enter the presence of God to process and reflect on what you have been experiencing.

What are some questions you cna use to refocus?

Ask these questions to help prompt you to make more time for God, to refocus and move away from living on autopilot.

  • What are my biggest blessings from this past year?
  • What has God taught me and how can I continue to apply that to my life?
  • Am I satisfied with what I am doing?
  • What can I stop and/or start doing?

As you seek transformation through the power of the spirit, invite others to join. While being alone can help restore us, we must remember to lift each other up. Do not let this time drive you into isolation. Help others who are feeling discouraged.

Being in community can be another way to rest and reflect

We can be reminded and inspired to serve others by encouraging those around us and coming together as a community.

I pray that as you gather to focus on your spiritual growth that this practice will powerfully deepen your relationship with God and allow you to move forward with renewed energy.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” –Hebrews 10:24-25
