How do you see God

A devotion about seeing the blessings during trials

2020 has multiple definitions, and it depends on who you ask. If you ask an Ophthalmologist, 20/20 means “perfect vision.” Job expands on the idea of perfect vision by saying he saw God during his worst situations (Job 42:5). What he really meant: "Though I lost everything, and my body is so sick, I still see God.” His faith in God became stronger and stronger. God gave everything back to Job that he lost and blessed him a double portion.

Trusting God during difficult times takes faith

How is our faith today? 2020 was a year many of us would compare to the tragedies Job suffered. People lost their jobs, homes and even health. We also know people who didn't make it to 2021. How are you responding? Is our faith in God more vigorous than before?

If a little virus (an invisible one) can destroy us, what can a little faith in God do? Jesus said faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain (Matthew 17:20). Though he was not speaking about the size, he points out the people's lack of faith. God called us by our name, and he who called us will take us through this difficult time.

Our faith is grounded in God's  promises

Our faith is in his promises. His promises are true and never return void before accomplishing their goals. Our human brain cannot fathom the mind of God. He loves us, and he gave his life for us. Thank God for 2020 and his protection over you.

How do you see God?

We believe in a God who is above all human understanding. May God open our eyes to see him and his works in our lives with gratitude.

"May the God of hope fill you will all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." –Romans 15:13
