During spring break, children involved with the Buckner Family Hope Center at the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy in Dallas had the opportunity to explore their creativity through visual arts, music, painting and poetry.

Thanks to the Art House Dallas and the Office of Cultural Affairs for the City of Dallas, students diligently worked on painting projects, created collages out of unique shapes, learned how to play a new musical instrument, took singling lessons and created poetry inspired by their home.

"Having a creative arts camp is such a unique opportunity for these students," said Family Hope Center Manager Gabriel Flores. "It allows our students the chance to try a new skill and we are so proud of the effort they put in and the works of art they created. But even more exciting is seeing how proud they were of themselves. On the last day of camp, the students were able to showcase their creations and play their musical instruments for their parents and friends."
