Midland news conferenceThe Family Hope Center model is an upstream preventative approach to social services. The program offers a child-centered, family-focused place where families go to find hope, support and empowerment in their community to reach their fullest God-given potential. Families in Midland will have access to free classes such as Jobs for Life, Faith and Finance, counseling and family activities.

"This is the first new Buckner program in Midland since 2003. Its inclusion means that all three of our pillars for serving children and families will now be represented in Midland," shared Dr. Albert Reyes, president and CEO of Buckner International. "It's my great honor to anounce our commitment to strengthening families in Midland by opening a Family Hope Center."

"We strengthen families so children are protected and generations of each family are transformed," he continued.

The Family Hope Center model is comprised of engaging families through assistance and community events; equipping families through education, financial empowerment, child and youth development and spiritual development; and elevating families through family coaching, counseling and spiritual enrichment.

Midland family"By providing these free critical services, aid and coaching to Permian Basin families, we want to make them strong and decrease the likelihood of abuse, neglect and the removal of children," said Patricia Acosta, director of administration and operations for Buckner West Texas.

Buckner leaders also expressed their gratitude to the Warren Charitable Foundation for its generous financial support of the beginning of program development.

"The addition of this program is possible thanks to our great collaboration with the Warren Charitable Foundation," Reyes said.
