Many families in the Bachman Lake area of Dallas are still struggling after an EF3 tornado hit Sunday night. Immediately after the storm, families began cleaning up debris from their homes and feeling uncertain about how they will piece together their shredded homes.

The damage is overwhelming and there is a lot of work to be done, but the community is coming together to help their neighbors. Earlier in the week Buckner International and Texas Baptist Men joined forces to feed more than 250 residents affected by the storm.

Today, staff from Buckner International and Communities Foundation of Texas gathered outside the home of Martha Vega, whose family is active participants of the Buckner Family Hope Center at Bachman Lake, and prayed for her family and others who were rebuilding their lives after the storm.
