Margaret Elizabeth McKissack serves as Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the President and CEO. She leads organizational strategic planning, donor and board member engagement, government and external affairs and a variety of special projects. She also directs the Shining Hope Dallas Campaign to expand Buckner services in Dallas.
In previous roles, Margaret Elizabeth led program development initiatives and facilitated strategic collaborations with corporations, non-profits and universities. She also opened Buckner International's Washington D.C. office to partner with the United States and international governments to provide best practices for the care of orphans, vulnerable children and families around the world.
She first realized her passion for strengthening families for children when she saw the needs of children living in orphanages on a Buckner mission trip to Guatemala in 2004 with her family.
Margaret Elizabeth earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American and Iberian Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Richmond. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association.
Margaret Elizabeth and her husband Michael have two daughters.
