Dominican Republic StatsDallas/ Ft. Worth

Buckner began its operations in Dallas, Texas in 1879 when founder R.C. Buckner established the Buckner Orphans Home (now Buckner Children's Home) to care for children orphaned by poverty and war. He also established the first retirement services when he allowed elderly widows to live in cottages on campus to help care for the children. Buckner is one of Dallas' longest operating businesses and serves children and families through community programs, family programs, empowerment programs and humanitarian aid/support. Dallas is also the location of Buckner International's corporate office, Shoes for Orphan Souls and the Buckner Center for Humanitarian Aid.
