Child Development Center
The Buckner Child Development Center located on the campus of Buckner Family Place, provides structured child care for children from birth to age 12. Center staff gives loving child care services in a Christian environment not only for the families living at the Family Place, but also for the children of Angelina College students and the community at large. The Center also offers Early Head Start services to children ages 0-3.
Transitional Care Services
Many former residents or foster children, once
removed from the structured environment, often are ill-equipped to handle situations faced in adult life. And without a support system, many find themselves unemployed and homeless. Buckner supports these children through TRAIL (Transitioning to Responsible
Adult Independent Living).
TRAIL is for young adults ages 17-21 who are transitioning from Child Protective Services care to independent living. Assertive case management provides support as they work toward self-sufficiency by gaining education, job skills, life management skills and social skills. For more information, call Buckner TRAIL at 409-866-0976. (Funded in part by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services)
