Buckner foster-to-adopt parents David and April McCarthy adopted five boys, including three teens, through foster care who joined their three biological sons to become a band of brothers. With eight sons in the house, the McCarthy’s prayers for a little girl were answered when a sassy toddler and her baby sister, who suffered a brain injury at birth and has also been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, came into their care about a year ago.

“We went in thinking we were going to bless children,” David says. “But we found out pretty quickly they were going to bless us.”

The McCarthys hope to adopt these two little girls by the end of this month.
