In Lubbock, our ministries serve vulnerable children and families with resources and support to protect children, strengthen families and transform generations.
For Julia, a single mom of three children who grew up surrounded by drugs and alcohol, Buckner Family Pathways® has supported her dreams of creating a better life for her and her children. Families in the community have received needed school supplies, community resources and counseling through the Buckner Family Hope Center®. And for 19-month-old Danny, he found his forever family through Buckner Foster Care and Adoption.
Buckner provides the training and resources needed to become a family to a child for a season through foster care or a forever family through domestic foster care or adoption. Children in these programs are most often referred through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services due to experiencing abuse, neglect or abandonment. We also respond to mothers experiencing an unplanned pregnancy with counseling and support. Call 855-264-8783 for more information. Visit our office.
Buckner Children's Home provides campus foster homes for children. Foster families live in Buckner-owned cottages, providing a consistent home environment for children who are in the state's custody and may have been abused, neglected or abandoned.
We provide single-parent families the opportunity to live in a safe, secure environment while completing their educational or vocational goals and learning the skills they need to be self-sufficient. Families are provided support through access to affordable housing, financial assistance, counseling, spiritual growth and more. For more information, call 806-799-0990 or fill out an inquiry form.
The Family Hope Center model offers families a place of hope, support and empowerment to reach their fullest God-given potential. Our programs engage through family assistance and community events; equip families through education, financial empowerment, child and youth development and spiritual development; and elevate families through family coaching, counseling and spiritual enrichment.
