73-year-old woman helps others in her community stay healthy

Senior adult teaches line dancing to other residents in her senior living community

Today is National Senior Health and Fitness Day, and one resident at Baptist Retirement Community in San Angelo is helping her fellow residents stay healthy through dance. 

Joan Countess is 73 years old and has osteoporosis, but she doesn't let any of that stop her from moving. To encourage others to join her, she leads a group of senior adults through line dancing.

“We know we need to exercise, so why not have fun doing it,” Joan said.
