Beaumont Foundation of America committed to helping vulnerable children through Buckner International with a gift of $133,500 in 2014.

Beaumont Foundation of America Chief Operating Officer Edward Keller presented a check Feb. 17 for half of the funds to Buckner International President and CEO Albert L. Reyes.

The foundation’s gift will help purchase clothes for children under the care of Buckner. Many times, these funds help Buckner purchase a child’s first brand new clothing.

“We support foster care throughout the state, including Buckner International, and our board of directors, including Board Chairman Wayne Reaud, believes in feeding and clothing the poor. Not only do we give for foster families, we also support food banks across the state.”

The foundation has been supporting Buckner since 2007. Including the full pledged 2014 funds, the foundation has given $980,400 to Buckner.

“We are grateful for our partnership with the Beaumont Foundation of America,” Reyes said. “Because of their giving, we are able to better care for children in need. Together, we are improving the lives of vulnerable young people, giving them hope for their lives.”
