The Buckner Communications team was recently awarded five awards, including PR Team of the Year, during the Dallas Chapter of Public Relations Society of America’s 2019 Pegasus Awards. 

PRSA Dallas is one of the nation’s largest and most active chapters of PRSA and the Pegasus Awards, named after the iconic red Pegasus in downtown Dallas, recognizes the most outstanding communications efforts by Dallas area strategic communications professionals.

The Buckner communications team was awarded the Community Relations Pegasus Award for the Buckner Family Hope Center at Bachman Lake grant proposal and the Pegasus Award for PR Team of the Year. Additionally, Buckner Communications Vice President Scott Collins also received the Pegasus Award for PR Pro of the Year. 

The Buckner Communications team also won Pegasus Award honorable mentions for the best campaign under $10,000 and for a Media Relations op-ed related to a capital campaign appeal. 

“I’m so grateful to work with a team of professionals and people who have a passion for what is an important cause of finding homes for the most desperate children in Texas to finding homes for senior adults throughout the state,” Collins said. “It’s an honor to be with this group. We’re a small team, but this is just an example of what we can do when we come together.”

The PRSA Pegasus Awards capped an active year for the Buckner Communications team that earlier in the year also won the American Marketing Association’s Marketer of the Year award.
