Buckner Senior Living breaks ground on Ventana by Buckner
Buckner Senior Living broke ground Thursday, April 20 to launch construction of its new $136 million Ventana by Buckner community in Dallas located at the intersection of Central Expressway and Northwest Highway.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on the site of the new community at 8401 N. Central Expressway. The community is scheduled for completion by mid-2019.
Whiting-Turner, a national construction company with offices in Dallas since 1996, serves as the lead contractor for the project. The community, designed by Dallas-based D2 Architecture, includes two 12-story towers offering sweeping views of the Dallas skyline.
Ventana includes:
- 189 independent living apartment homes.
- 38 assisted living apartment homes.
- 26 specialized memory care suites.
- 48 skilled nursing accommodations.
- 24 rehabilitation accommodations.
- Multiple common areas and amenities, including several dining venues, a wellness center with an indoor pool and a Grand Hall multi-purpose space.
“We’re extremely pleased with the response from the community,” said Charlie Wilson, senior vice president for Buckner Retirement Services. “There is a real excitement about Ventana from our future residents about reaching our goal for deposits.”
A fully-staffed Information Center, featuring a 3-D model of the buildings, video virtual tour, full renderings, and site and floor plans is open in One Lincoln Park Building, overlooking the 3-acre property where Ventana will be built. The Information Center is in Suite 725 at 8401 North Central Expressway. The phone number is 214-234-1035.
Ventana will join five other senior living communities operated by Buckner Retirement Services in Texas. Buckner is the second largest provider of non-profit senior living in the state and the 52nd largest nationally. Visit www.ventanabybuckner.com for more details.
