Dallas City Council approves rezoning request for Dallas retirement community
DALLAS – The Dallas City Council gave final approval in July for a rezoning request for the property purchased by Buckner, which allows the project to move into the next phase.
The three-acre plot, purchased in August 2012 is situated at Northwest Highway and 75 Central Expressway. Buckner Retirement Services plans to build a high-rise community to serve senior residents in North Texas. Due to the extensive nature of the project, Buckner officials estimate the project to be completed in 2017.
“We are pleased with the support of neighborhood coalitions and the Dallas City Council for our newest community,” said Charlie Wilson, senior vice president of Buckner Retirement Services. “The Dallas senior living community will serve the city of Dallas and its seniors for decades to come. We’re excited to add this community to the Buckner family.”
