In the past few weeks, the children and families who are served through Buckner have been abundantly blessed by the generosity of people who support the ministry. Individuals and groups have donated time, money, toys and a variety of other items to help make the Christmas season a bit brighter for everyone. 

We are thankful for your generosity and commitment to vulnerable children and families. We are grateful for hearts that reflect the heart of God. Your actions speak volumes about who you are and what you believe.

Yet may none of us stop there. As each of us tell our friends, family, co-workers and neighbors about giving to help people through Buckner, let us not forget the reason we have helped: Because God loved us so much he sent his son, we love others.

This week, may we all be ready to share the reason for our generosity, the reason for the season.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. -1 Peter 3:15
