Fear Not
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” -Isaiah 41:10
Fear is one of the adversary’s most effective weapons. It creeps in quietly, whispering lies about our future, our identity, and our worth. Whether it’s fear of failure, rejection, loss, or the unknown, it can leave us paralyzed and discouraged. But Isaiah 41:10 offers a powerful antidote: the presence and promise of God.
God doesn’t tell us to deny our fear—He tells us not to be ruled by it. Why? Because He is with us. The Creator of the universe, the One who holds all things together, is personally involved in our lives. He doesn’t watch from a distance; He strengthens, helps, and upholds us with His righteous right hand.
This verse doesn’t promise that hardship won’t come, but it does promise that we won’t face it alone. “Do not be dismayed,” God says—not because life won’t bring trouble, but because He is your God. You are not abandoned. You are not forgotten. The God who made you is walking with you—and He’s not letting go.
Notice the promises in this verse:
• “I am with you.” You are never alone.
• “I am your God.” He is personal, present, and committed to you.
• “I will strengthen you.” When your strength fails, His never does.
• “I will help you.” He steps into your struggle, not away from it.
• “I will uphold you.” Even when you’re falling apart, He’s holding you together.
Whatever you’re facing today, take heart. Your fear doesn’t get the final say—God does. Stand on His Word, rest in His promises, and let His strength carry you.
