The Buckner Family Hope Center at Aldine was recently honored as a 2017 Halliburton Hometown Hero. Through the Halliburton Hometown Hero Program, members of the greater Houston community were invited to nominate a local charity that is “going above and beyond to make our community a better place to live and work.”

Family Hope Center Director Shawna Roy said the citywide recognition “is incredible for Buckner. Our staff works tirelessly and sacrifices so much to reach people in this community. We get to experience the everyday miracles and progress made in the families we serve.

“We cannot do this alone,” she added, “so the recognition reenergizes us to continue. It also gives value and credibility to gain financial and volunteer support so that we can continue to serve for many years to come.”  

As part of the recognition, Halliburton will provide a 60-second radio spot in the Texans Countdown pre-game day broadcast as well as each night of Texans Live and a feature on HoustonTexans.com community page.
