Racing for National Adoption Month
While Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers near the finish line for the final playoff standings that determine this year's championship, one driver helped race for National Adoption Month awareness. Michael McDowell, driver of the Front Row Motorsports No. 34 Mustang, shared his family's journey to adoption while at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.
Two Buckner families were invited to a first-class NASCAR experience at Texas Motor Speedway. The families toured the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series garage area, pit lane and Michael's hauler that transports two cars, parts and other team equipment needed for each race event.
A father's perspective on adoption
Michael spent one-on-one time answer questions from our Buckner families in attendance. He shared what it’s like for the McDowell family to navigate the adoption journey while Michael travels each week, from February through November, for his work as a professional NASCAR driver.
November is National Adoption Month
This #NationalAdoptionMonth, we hope families considering adoption will watch and listen to Michael's story and realize there's never a perfect time to adopt. When God calls a family to adoption, he will pave the way and equip the called. Please consider adoption today. Learn more about domestic adoption in Texas.
