In 1879, R.C. Buckner founded Buckner Orphans Home in Dallas after witnessing the needs of hurting and orphaned children in post-Civil War Texas.
In the past 142 years, working from the foundation established by Father Buckner, Buckner Orphan’s Home has expanded to a statewide and global organization, Buckner International.
Today, Buckner International’s mission is simple: To follow the example of Jesus by serving vulnerable children, families and seniors.
