Buckner delivers aid to Rio Grande Valley families in need during the coronavirus crisis

Buckner Missions and the Buckner Family Hope Center at Peñitas worked with the Rio Grande Valley Food Bank to distribute 200 food bags from the Buckner warehouse March 30. Because of social distancing measures, the Buckner team used an innovative method for the distribution, utilizing the Family Hope Center's Neighborhood Advisory Council to identify and distribute the bags of aid to families financially affected by the coronavirus. The advisory council is a group of Family Hope Center clients who serve, in turn, as community volunteers.
