Buckner senior living communities make U.S. News & World Report top honor
DALLAS – U.S. News & World Report recognized Buckner Westminster Place in Longview, Buckner Calder Woods in Beaumont and Buckner Villas in Austin as Best Nursing Homes in the country.
Communities were ranked on a five-star basis, based on its number of stars in three categories: state-conducted health inspections, how much time nurses spend with residents and the quality of medical care. Of 16,000 facilities evaluated, fewer than 25 percent earned a rating of five stars.
“Buckner Senior Living is honored to have three of our communities rank in the top of the U.S. News and World Report,” said Charlie Wilson, senior vice president of Buckner Retirement Services. “When we set out to care for seniors, we don’t go into it with the goal in mind of receiving honors and awards. We are all about creating a home for families. But to be honored is amazing. It’s a testament to how hard our staff works day in and day out.”
All three communities offer a continuum of care including independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing care.
